12 Days of Audi – Day 10

On day 10 we once again revisit to our trip to Quebec of a few years ago, where we were treated with a brief drive of this staggeringly fun little rocket sled of a car, the RS 3. We never had this model offered in the USA, which is a shame, because we know that they would sell every one they imported.

Graced with the same 2.5 liter 5 cylinder TFSI engine, and Haldex quattro as the TT RS, only with the 6 speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission, the RS 3 was explosively quick. This particular car was fitted with studded snow tires, which was interesting to say the least. The roads we drove on were very icy, but the RS 3 never had a problem finding grip.

Sadly we only had a very short time to drive this epic hot hatch, but hopefully Audi see fit to come up with an RS car based on the new A3.
