2013 Audi A5 Named #1 Aspirational Luxury Car in AutoPacific’s 2013 Ideal Vehicle Awards
Established in 2006, the IVAs are based on a model-year survey of automotive owners and are designed to help consumers make informed vehicle purchase decisions with a true “peer-to-peer” survey. The survey reflects the views of owners who have driven their 2013 vehicles for 90 days or more. The IVAs recognize vehicles where owners want the least amount of change across 15 key vehicle attributes including: exterior styling, exterior size, passenger roominess, cargo space, driver’s seat comfort, driver’s seat visibility, info/entertainment technology, interior lighting, power and acceleration, ease of getting in and out, interior storage compartments, ride, handling, safety features and tires and wheels.
“We’re thrilled for Audi to once again have been ranked the number one Aspirational Luxury Vehicle in AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Awards for the second year in a row,” said Mark Del Rosso, Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “The A5 continues to impress consumers by exuding sophistication, engineering, performance and design, the ultimate reward for drivers who enjoy the journey and not just the destination.”
The Audi A5 model line continues in 2014 with A5 and S5 Coupe and Cabriolet models, which continue to set standards for sportiness and efficiency in the mid-size segment of the premium market. In addition, the newly-introduced RS 5 Cabriolet – which combines track-tested engineering with the freedom of open air driving – joins the successful RS 5 Coupe for the 2014 Model Year.
