6 Secrets of the Audi A4

1. Open / Close Windows with Key Fob
Standing outside of your car with the engine turned off, stick the key in the driver’s side door, turn it to the left and hold it. This will signal the windows and even the sunroof to open or close simultaneously. You can also program your key fob remote in the car’s settings to do this. This trick is especially helpful if you forget to close a window all the way before getting out of your A4, or don’t want to get in the car and do it manually.
2. Change the Degree Temperature Display
On the temperature display, you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees by first pressing and holding the recirculation button, then pressing the temperature up button (+) to toggle between them.
3. Access On-Board Diagnostic Codes
You can actually access the OBD codes right from your temperature display. First, press and hold the recirculation button, then press the manual flow control up arrow, which will reveal a “1c” on the display. Next, press the temperature up or down buttons to select a code number, and finally, press the recirculation button once more. The code should display; keep pressing the temperature buttons to display additional codes.
4. Rear-view Mirror Sun Visor
The rear-view mirror has a flap built in above it, similar to the one shown here, that you can flip downward for additional sun blockage.
5. Manual Throttle Body Alignment
Sit in your car and insert your key into the ignition, turning it to the accessory “on” mode. The engine should not be on. Press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and hold it for five seconds. Next, turn the key to “off” without removing it and take your foot off of the gas pedal. Wait two minutes, at which point your throttle body alignment should be complete.
6. Release / Load Multiple CDs
Hold down the eject button to release all CDs in the player one after another. The same thing can be done when loading CDs. Press and hold the load button for two seconds to load one after another.
