Many of you here on AudiWorld have paid good money for the newest generation of the Audi Q7 aka the 4M. Wanting to be helpful to your fellow owners, you have also paid it forward. What’s is “it?” Your good fortune. How have you paid it forward? By sharing helpful secrets of Audi’s flagship SUV. You all call them Hidden Gems. We call them interesting…and we’ve put nine of them below.

.) “There is a secondary visor under the main visor, which is useful when the primary visor is deployed for use on the side window. Also, the main visor can slide to extend its range when used on the side window.”

.) “The fan circulates the air after the car is turned off. Press the driver’s climate control ‘auto’ button after the car is turned off. The fan continues to run for 15 (?) minutes, dependent upon battery strength. This is useful to keep the car cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Handy for a quick stop.”

.) “Shortcut to access the service position for the wipers. This can be accessed through the service menu as well. It positions the wipers mid-stroke and is used for replacing or cleaning the wipers. It is also useful in icy conditions so the wipers can be lifted off the windshield so the wipers don’t freeze to the windshield. After the car is turned off, hold down the wiper switch in the 1x position.”

.) “There’s a little ‘window’ in the glove box that you can open/close to let cool air from the HVAC.”

.) “You can set the 360 degree view to stay as default on the right side of the screen.”

.) “Activating the child locks also locks out the rear HVAC controls for the 4 zone ACC.”

.) “There is motion sensing LED light inside door bottle holder area.”

.) “Found a ‘hidden’ cubby hole in the door pocket which is perfect for a wallet. It is far aft area of the pocket and can’t be seen from directly above.”

.) “Holding your finger on the map lights adjusts the brightness.”
