Ingolstadt – Attendees of the Consumer Electronics Show will experience the all-new Audi A3 in stunning 4k Ultra HD video, as part of YouTube streaming demonstrations this week in Las Vegas. The demos on YouTube will showcase Google’s new open-source VP9 video format, which brings a powerful image resolution to the online user at lower bandwidths and more efficient streaming. Attendees can enjoy the A3 in Ultra HD on the latest televisions and monitors on display at booths of prominent electronics manufacturers, including LG, Sony, and Panasonic – as previously stated in an announcement from Google. The Audi video will feature the 2015 A3, S3, and A3 Cabriolet.
“Audi couldn’t have teamed up with a better company to showcase the beauty of the all-new Audi A3. We find a natural fit between Audi and YouTube, companies that continue to deliver ground-breaking, progressive technologies to the marketplace,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “With the launch of the all-new Audi A3 lineup this year, Audi is putting some of the most advanced technology into the compact luxury car segment.”
The Audi A3 family breaks the boundaries and raises the bar as to what is expected out of entry-level luxury vehicles. The all-new Audi A3 lineup begins with the A3 sedan, which goes on sale in the spring of 2014. The A3 sedan plays a pivotal role in the soon to be expanding Audi A3 family and will later joined in the fall of 2014 by the Audi A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI® clean diesel sedan, the high-performance S3 sedan and in early 2015, the A3 Sportback e-tron® gasoline electric plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
For the fourth year, Audi at CES will present a variety of new automotive technologies through a series of demonstrations and booth displays. This year will focus on connecting the car with its environment through advancements in piloted driving, mobile communication, cockpit innovations, next-generation HMI, Audi connect with 4G LTE, smart display, and more. Additionally, the Audi Sport quattro® laserlight concept car will make its international debut and feature Matrix LED headlights and laserlight with a nearly 500 meter range.
