Audi of America Takes Houston By Storm With Events in April

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 16 /PRNewswire/ — Audi of America, Inc. is busy preparing for several event productions slated to take place on consecutive nights in Houston, Texas at the end of April. The diverse mix of programs all have ties to the performing arts and showcase multiple genres of music and award-winning artists.

The Houston Symphony Orchestra kicks things off by bringing Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book, “Green Eggs and Ham,” to life at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Wednesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. Audi is the official automotive of the Pavilion’s 2004 Performing Arts Season.

David Bowie rocks the Woodlands Pavilion on Thursday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in support of his 26th album, “Reality.” Audi is presenting the North American leg of Bowie’s in-progress “A Reality Tour.” Audi is currently airing a television commercial with “Rebel Never Gets Old,” a mash-up remix of Bowie’s “Never Get Old” — a highlight of the critically acclaimed “Reality” album — and his timeless “Rebel Rebel.” Additional information on this Audi innovator can be found on http://www.neverfollow.com.

“Audi presents k.d. lang” opens its North American tour at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts with the Houston Symphony Orchestra on Friday, April 30. A second concert follows on Saturday, May 1, and both shows begin at 8:00 p.m. Audi is sponsoring 24 markets of this unique tour which features the first time k.d. lang has performed with symphony orchestras and engaged a corporate sponsor. Ms. lang is a multiple, Grammy award-winning artist who embodies Audi’s Never Follow brand philosophy through her talents, and she was one of Audi’s original eight innovators in 2003.

Audi Music Nights at The Main Event continues on Saturday, May 1, with a free outdoor performance featuring live jazz from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. This performance is staged in the heart of downtown Houston at 400 Main Street at Prairie and is in conjunction with the Downtown Entertainment District Alliance (D.E.D.A.). Tito Puente, Jr. launched the series last month, and it continues by alternating Latin and jazz musicians every Saturday through May 22.
