We love bikes, and we love carbon fiber. Carbon frames are widely regarded as the best blend of strength, and smooth ride characteristics. This is a super sexy looking racer! Official press release follows.

Ingolstadt – A sporty design and lightweight construction can now also be found on two wheels at Audi: The Four Rings brand is bringing on the market for the first time a technologically advanced carbon racing bike in a limited edition – the Audi Sport Racing Bike. The company is presenting the racing bike to the public at the 85th Geneva Motor Show.

Audi developed the racing bike in cooperation with the CarbonSports company. The bike is unique in its overall design. The color scheme comes from the Audi Concept Design Studio in Munich. The saddle is covered in Fine Nappa leather, a detail from the new Audi R8. The 790 gram (27.9 oz) lightweight frame and the wheels are made of carbon – specifically T1000 carbon fiber, already employed by Audi for the cockpit of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro. The result: a complete bike with the Audi Sport look and a total weight of only 5.8 kg (13.0 lb). The limited edition badges bear the numbers 1 through 50.

The Audi Sport Racing Bike is available at a price of 17,500 euros. It can be ordered effective immediately either from quattro GmbH (+49 (0) 841/89-46599; lifestyle@audi-shop.de) or from any Audi partner worldwide.
