Audi RS 5 TDI Electric Turbo Concept

Ahead of AMI Leipzig details are emerging about an interesting concept RS 5, with a “tri-turbo” TDI engine. It appears to be mostly the same engine from elsewhere in the Audi lineup, with the addition of a third air compressor, this one electrically driven by a dedicated 48 volt electrical system. 

We are told that this engine generates 385hp, and a whopping 553 lb/ft.
