Jubilee at Audi: The six-millionth Audi with quattro drive rolls off the production line at the Ingolstadt plant today – only about one and a half years after the five-millionth quattro. Audi will deliver the jubilee car, an Audi SQ5* in monsoon gray metallic, to a family in the United States. This new production record demonstrates the global success of Audi quattro. Since the original quattro, the first Audi with permanent all-wheel drive in the year 1980, this technology has conquered the roads of the world. AUDI AG sets new half-year record with around 869,350 deliveries

With year-on-year sales growth of 11.4 percent, AUDI AG has achieved the best first half year in company history. The brand with the four rings handed over around 869,350 cars to customers in the first six months. In June alone, the company delivered around 155,450 cars worldwide, exceeding the figure in the same period last year by 10.8 percent. Audi Encounter magazine wins gold in the Best of Corporate Publishing Award

Two gold awards and seven more nominations demonstrate the outstanding quality of Audi publications. In addition to the Encounter magazine, the app for Audi’s Annual Report also took first place amongst 700 submissions.

“The Audi Technology Magazine impressed us with its outstanding reporting and its consistent pictorial language,” explained the jury with regard to its decision. The magazine, which makes “Vorsprung durch Technik” tangible in exciting background stories and with fascinating insights into the automobile manufacturer’s research laboratories, has thus won the gold award for the third time in succession.
