Debut of Audi Exclusive Interiors for A8 at New York Auto Show

For the first time in North America, Audi of America, Inc. will offer three new and distinctive interior selections available on its flagship sedan, the Audi A8. These Audi Exclusive Interiors will be available in the second half of 2004 as an option on pre-sold A8’s.

The new Audi Exclusive Interiors are sure to raise the benchmark for interior design in premium automobiles. Audi has long been recognized as the industry leader for innovative interior designs, and the clean, progressive design of the Audi A8 caters itself to personalization.

The Audi Exclusive Interiors offer unique enhancements on interior color and trim. These include­­ Valcona leather seats in three exclusive color choices: Classic Red, Cognac, and Aniseed (Cream Yellow), each accentuated by black leather piping. Also included are black floor mats trimmed with the Audi Exclusive Interior color to match the seats.

Additionally, the wood is matched to suit the interior design scheme. The exclusive wood trim, which is available with or without distinctive intarsia wood inlays depending on the wood selection, is another exclusive feature of the interior selections. A corresponding wood and leather steering wheel with shift paddles and matching wood shift knob add even more distinctiveness. Each Audi Exclusive Interior includes a distinguished headliner that accents the interior choice.

Audi Exclusive Interiors are available from quattro GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG, which has a long history of designing and developing lifestyle accessories for Audi. Since 1983 quattro GmbH has been manufacturing and designing upscale boutique items that include everything from watches and luggage to high-quality clothing items. In recent years, quattro GmbH has turned its attention to sporty performance in Audi vehicles.
