    Featured Car Questions

When and where did you purchase this car?

I bought the car in the middle of December 2006 in Chicago WHILE it was snowing. I had NEVER driven a stick shift in my life until the day I bought the car. Unreal story really. It was crazy.

Why did you choose this car as the basis of your project?
Ever since 2001 just out of highschool, I had a picture of the TT coupe and roadster on my dresser as a “one day dream supercar”.

Was there anything unique about the car before you starting modifying it?

    No, stock.

Did you consider any other brands, and what led you to Audi?

Considered Porsche boxter, bmw m3, corvette. My father and mother had owned 3 audi’s before, 5000 cs, 100 s, and a 90 s. The 90 s was the first car I ever drove and after it got in a wreck, I drove it for about 3 months as my very first car.

What was your objective with this project?

To make the Audi tt into the sports car it looks like. It is very underpowered for what people see and perceive it to be and I have made it as powerful as I can with the budget I have.

What companies or individuals were involved in the build-out?

    Revo, Renn-art, GRD, APR

What was the most difficult part of the project to get right?

I guess the ipod interface was very tough to do. Also the custom interior lighting was hard. The boost gauge was a lot of work but surprisingly easy for me.

If you had to do it all over again what would you change?

    Nothing.

Have you generated any formal test results with this car (dyno, ¼ mile, etc?)

Dyno. 265 HP (which is much lower than the Revo calculated numbers I should have very SAD to say) and an amazing 328 lbs of torque.

Are you finished – what’s next?

Short shifter. Newer black 17” wheels. Forge diverter valve. Front and rear sway bar. Coilovers.

Is this your daily driver, and if not what else is in your garage?

Daily driver. But I buy a cheap car or SUV every winter to avoid the harsh Chicago winters with my TT.

What is your favorite thing about this car?

    Everything.

As modified, what makes your car unique?

Tune, exhaust, tint, interior (lights, boost gauge, radar, ipod)

Where can other enthusiasts see your car?

Elmhurst car show every Wednesday night. Any other car shows around the Chicago area that I can find.
