Real Madrid’s Stars Collect Their New Cars from Audi
At an event held yesterday evening in the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, the stars of Real Madrid football club collected their new cars from Audi, the club’s new automobile partner. The handover event was attended by Florentino Pérez, President of Real Madrid C.F., Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, and Jesus Gasanz, General Manager of Audi in Spain. “Real Madrid has made a superb start to the season and we are delighted to be providing such pace-setting players with our sportiest Audi models”, commented Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG. “I am confident that the Audi cars collected today are the choice of this season’s champions.” The Real Madrid players, who have soared to the top of “La Liga” and of their group in the Champions League, have chosen the sportiest models from the Audi range.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the RS 6 can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 4.7 seconds. Technical highlights such as an aluminium body and adaptive air suspension made the Audi A8 4.2 quattro, the flagship model of the Audi range, the choice of midfielder Figo.

A total of 12 players chose this particular model, with half of them choosing the Avant version.
