The Audi A8 offers a range of design options as standard that is extraordinary even in the luxury segment. The wide choice of paint finishes and interior colours, inlays in the most diverse woods and colours, seats in cloth, Alcantara, Valcona leather, Natural leather or Satin Nappa leather give every A8 the look of a perfectly tailored suit. A true one-off from quattro GmbH The A8 becomes a true one-off with the Audi exclusive programme from quattro GmbH. Its remit being to fulfil requests for particularly exquisite features, it offers a virtually unlimited range of options, from which the customer can create the perfect automobile according to his/her personal taste and style. These requests are then turned into reality by hand and with the utmost skill. The paint finish sends out the most striking signal, of course. Audi exclusive offers seven customised paint finishes: Morning Dew, metallic, for example, or Velvet Purple, pearl effect. However, between black and white there lies a limitless variety of colour options, nuances and shades. Virtually all of them can be realised as a one-off by quattro GmbH always on condition that the high quality standards in terms of material and durability can be met. Creativity and finest quality Audi exclusive not only stands for creativity and making individual dreams come true, but also for exclusively selected materials, meticulous craftsmanship and great attention to detail. The various types of leather have been chosen for their breathability, durability, sumptuousness and feel and are ideal for use in automobiles. Audi exclusive leather is remarkably breathable and has a high level of water vapour permeability, which is very important for seating comfort. With regard to leather colour options, the Audi exclusive programme offers a comprehensive selection which the customer can combine at will. Whether harmoniously coordinated tones are preferred or a subtle contrast beauty as always is in the eye of the beholder. The woods featured in the Audi exclusive programme are root burls and trunks from trees grown in sustainable forests. They are cut, stored and then softened in hot steam for up to 100 hours. These later become delicate sheets of wood, which in 40 operations pressing, sanding, staining, varnishing and polishing to name but a few are transformed into the exclusive inlays featured in the Audi customisation programme. The Audi exclusive range also includes a coolbox with bar compartment in the rear seat back and a folding table on the back of the front passenger seat, which can be operated manually or electrically. Even a fold-out leg rest is available for the front passenger seat. In addition, the A8 offers state-of-the-art communications technology as an option. At the rear of the luxury saloon, there is not only a charging cradle for the car phone handset but also the multifunctional communication unit with fax, scanning, printing and telephone function. The system also features standardised interfaces for laptops and PDA systems. If desired, the A8 comes with Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE). The system consists of two independently controlled monitors in the head restraints of the front seats and can be operated via the MMI Multi Media Interface. TV programmes as well as DVDs from the on-board system can be watched on the monitors. Sound output is via the vehicles own speakers or via headsets, as preferred.
