Hi all!

I have an 2003 Audi A4 1.8T, with about 165,000 miles. I'm not super Audi savy, but I know enough. My dad is the Audi mechanic, but I wanted to come here and ask for some thoughts on what might be causing my car's problem. Any input is appreciated.

I had the strangest issue with my car this morning. I turned it on like normal, and for some reason it had a really loud, fan-like noise coming from under the hood. It was really really loud. At first I thought to press the "econ" button, but it made no difference. I checked the oil level, and it was fine, not too bad. I added oil, and once I tried to turn it back on, there was nothing on the dashboard when I put the key in the ignition, and they key would turn and turn and turn, but it would never engage to start the car.

I've been reading up, and usually when the car doesn't want to turn on like this, it usually means there is a problem with the fuel pump. Is this the case?

Check if you have any burnt fuses.
