Default Cam position sensor ??

I have an Audi A4 1.8t. Recently the cam chain tensioner failed resulting in 4 bent valves. So the head has been reworked, new gaskets and such. ( It started on the first try too)

Now I am getting the following codes.

16684 P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
16686 P0302 Cyl.2 Misfire Detected
16687 P0303 Cyl.3 Misfire Detected
17746 P1338 Camshaft Pos.Sensor,Bank1 Open Circ./Short to B+

For my sanity, this is most likely the cam position sensor. Anybody disagree, any thoughts or suggestions.

And the car will start no problem. However it won't get out of it's own way when accelerating. No power what so ever.

Cam timing is off. The ring it reads from is damaged, like its locating tang. Or the sensor itself. By the sound of no power, it would be cam timing is a tooth or 2 off.

So, went back to check the timing and randomly checked the cam gear, low-and-behold the key way sheared. New cam gear, no more cam position sensor code. Just random multiple misfires. Doesn't want to idle, but has power back.
