Remove the oil pressure sender near the oil filter and screw in a gauge. If the oil lights coming on for low pressure its not lying. Its a 1.8T of course it has low oil pressure, remove the oil pan, clean or replace the pickup tube, check the rod bearings, and change the oil with 5w40 synthetic and the big oil filter. If the pickup tube was really bad, I would replace the turbo oil feed line as well.
