voltage fluctuating... white smoke under hood
01 A4 B5 1.8T quattro
so 2 days ago I noticed my voltage dropping down below 12v with lights and heater on. jumps back up to 14 (and slightly above) without lights or heat on.
yesterday while at a traffic light white smoke started bellowing out from under the hood. as I pulled away to a parking lot, the smoke stopped. wasn't overheating.
I'm assuming a coolant leak somewhere but can't find it just yet.
could these 2 be related somehow? maybe a bad pulley, serpentine belt, or tensioner?
