Default Clutch pedal issues.

My 1994 90Q might be in need of a slave cylinder. :-( I searched and only found a couple things on this. Sorry if I missed an obvious thread already created on the topic!!

It sits in my driveway the during summer and fall then is my daily driver all winter (Quattro RULES!!) Today I started my annual "dusting off" to get it ready for some maintenance it needs. When I got in to start it, the clutch pedal was normal but after one push, it didn't come back up all the way. I searched my Bentley manual (disc) and it looks like I'll need to pull, or at least loosen, the motor from its mounts. I REALLY don't want to do that if I can avoid it.

My questions:
- Does this sound like the slave cyl to you guys?
- Is there a chance that I've got a leak in a line going to the slave cyl?
- Can the slave cyl be worked on without uloosening and/or removing the motor?

Thanks,
Dan

there is no need to remove the motor to get to master or slave. i would replace them both and call it a day, they aren't that expensive and i would got to a hydraulic shop to get the brake line replaced, everything should cost you under $200

Thanks Crazy! I got the pedal to come back up after topping off the brake fluid and pressing the brake pedal hard a bunch of times. It seems pretty normal now. I'm hoping that it happened from sitting most of 2015. We'll see.
