Default 2010 A4 replaced Pistons and rings. Now failed ignition cool?

I had my 2010 Audi A4 in for an oil consumption test, which failed. The dealer replaced the pistones and rings under Audi warranty. I picked it up last Thursday. Six days later, I have problems with it starting, excessive fuel burning (heavy smell and exhaust), car shakes when accelerating and it idles very hard. I had the car towed back to the dealer today and I'm told its a failed ignition coil, but it has nothing to do with the work they just completed less than a week ago. Is that accurate?? That's an odd coincidence for me, when I've not had any mechanical issues with the car before now, other than oil consumption. Help!

Could be either way - maybe they didn't connect everything up properly and maybe the electronics just failed
