Just curious, why install a BOV on nearly stock setup. Unless your running an agressive setup (e.g., larger turbo, high boost) there's no need to upgrade. This holds true in the Subaru world as well; I have a 06 STI making 376 whp @ 19.5 PSI (now a track car) I didn't upgrade the stock bypass valve until I went to a larger turbo.
I assume that this would hold true for the Audi tuning world which, I am new too.
In many instances after market BOVs release to much boost pressure on a stock or nearly stock setup and cause a loss in performance, possibly even causing stalling issues at idle or they may not open enough because, the springs are to stiff resulting in damaging compressor surge.
Personally, I will upgrade BOV until I hit the stock one's limits.

Reviving and old thread, but I just installed this yesterday.
OK, so I am running catback, AFE drop-in, and APR Stage 2. The stock DV (diaphragm type, not the newer piston one) was holding 18psi until it died. The new Forge FMFSITAT BOV is opening at 14.5psi. The kit comes with a second spring. Do I need to swap these out to get back to 18psi, do I need to get retuned, or am i going to have to do something else? Not sure what is going on, but not making full boost is a little annoying.
I sent Forge the same questions, just trying to get some more opinions while I wait for them to get back to me.
