NEWer 2013-2014 have the same OIL Consumption problem!!!!???
I have a 2010 A4 with 80k miles on it, and I believe it is not only burning oil, but it is burning it at a very high speed rate- need to add a quart every 500 miles or so! People have told me that they think my head gasket is the issue, which in turn is the engine going to go eventually... I am looking into the newer models, though does anyone know if the 13-14 have the same issues??
Please advise!!!!
Thanks a million!

I have a 2015 on order and I asked the service manager about oil consumption. He says the problem was resolved with the 2013 and that worst case is one liter in 5000km during break in.

My 2011 Q5 2.0T is also burning oil but I go between 2,000 and 2,500 before needing a quart and Audi says that is acceptable. My 06 A4 2.0T burns no oil. The issue with the 2011 2.0T has been traced to accessive internal engine pressure. That is why the first "fix" is to replace the PCV valve with a new design. I don't think you have any issues with your head gasket. You would see oil on the floor or smoke coming from teh engine if it was leaking. Have your dealer take a look.

My '11 A4 consumes a notable amount of oil.
Our '15 Q5 doesn't appear to consume oil.

Short answer yes. Wife’s ‘13 Q5 2.0t owned since new with dealer maintenance to the book. Started burning oil under 100k now has 122k and failed Audi oil consumption test. Dealer giving us an estimate of $4700 to replace pistons and rings. Called corporate Audi USA after their investigation they wouldn’t help.
We are an all Audi family currently owning 5 different models. The 2.0t engines are still junk and yes I’m not happily as my son’s ‘11 A5 failed it’s consumption test at 40k but since he added an APR tune Audi wouldn’t do anything.
Pass on any Audi 4 cylinder.
