Default Piece on fan broke

I was removing my fan and had a screwdriver in a hole trying to keep it from spinning and i broke some tabs off the metal mounting piece. Are they important which would mean i should replace it?

It seems like a perfect time to go to an electric fan kit. Otherwise most junkyard are a cheap place to get them.

JH Motorsports has an electric fan that is plug and play, go get that. Or get one used somewhere. I wouldnt trust it spinning at such a high rate of speed while its not weighted evenly.
