Walmart sells Castrol 5w-40 synthetic edge cheaper than any other place I've seen, as far as the filter is concerned, the factory filter is usually around $10 to $14 and does the job fine. Good luck.

No fram filters. Napa Gold filters are very good made by WIX, orrileys should carry WIX. Anything but cheapie filters lol. If you have an import parts store they should have MANN or other German filters.

No, Walmart doesn't carry the filter. If you're serious about keeping the car just join the Audi club of north america, the membership will get you 10% to 15% off on most parts for your Audi. Just google Audi club of north. America

Yes I am serious about it. Is the castrol recommended or is that a cheaper alternative?

I think the least expensive Audi oil (spec 502.00) at Walmart will be the 5qt jug of Mobil 1 0W40 for ~ $24 (sometimes at $22.50).

Oh and yes we do have napa. But is the Wix filter comparable to the recommended MANN?
