Gumout "Regane" dfi intake spray cleaner
I just saw this in Walmart. It says to disconnect the air filter tube off the throttle body, run the engine up to 12-1500rpm, then, spray the contents in. It's supposed to "miraclely" clean out the intake tract & valves. I suppose it could do some good, if deposits aren't too bad.
Anyone try it yet?

I've got a couple of engine fault codes up for, "low airflow" & "throttle position corelation". It sounds to me like my airflow is being misread low.
So, I'm going to try a spray can of this "Regane". It may clean up the airflow sensing elements as it flows toward the valves to saturate & loosen the carbon on them.
We'll see....

Did the "Regane" thing, with my oil change today. IDK if it did anything for valve carbon reduction, but it cleaned the throttle body & sensors enough to clean the two airflow & throttle correlation faults.

Driving the car, over the last couple of days, I've noticed that it idles smoother & has much better off-idle throttle response.
So, I don't know if I cleaned any carbon off the valves, but I do think the throttle body got a good cleaning.

Larry, I did this process last night using the CRC intake valve cleaner product on our A6 (~123k miles). It claims to be a high concentration of PEA. It took about 20 minutes to empty the entire 12oz can.
I also notice a smoother idle and the throttle response is better, too. I'll keep a close watch of the fuel economy over the next few tanks.
