I bought a 2002 audi a4 quattro v6 in october of 2015, i am in process of doing some maintenence such as air filter- spark plugs- ignition coils- headlights and blinkers. Came about changing spark plugs and coils due to engine light blinking at me - finding out this means some sort of misfire. doing these repairs noticed some oil build up and smell of gas on spark plugs and end of ignition coils.

Could this just be because they are old an need to be replaced?
Bad valve gasket/tube seals?

The car still runs great.. so im hoping we are able to fix whatever issues before they become bigger problems. any advice would be appreciated!

Also some white sludge on oil dip stick and cap.... its winter in michigan currently... and at my last oil change about 4000 miles ago - my mechanic didnt mention anything looked bad... comments?
