A6. 3.0 Diesel 2005 smoke after idle
My 2005 A6 3.0 Diesel Quattro smokes excessively after its been idling for a few minutes but shows no loss of power etc. when being driven. It has 135000 miles on 45000 of which I have covered in a little over the last 12 months without anything other than a glow plug failure
Reading forum posts would indicate an injector issue however I do have a known issue with Throttle Control Unit that permanently sticks the Management light on and is down for replacement early in the new year when I can get it sorted at my Audi Independent (Its been on VAG Com so deffo faulty)
Long shot I know but would this contribute to the smoking ?
Thanks

The 30V V6s are the 2.4, 2.7TT, 2.8 and 3.0 petrol engines made from 1997-2005.
It's not likely anyone will know much about your diesel, which is a 24V engine.
I don't know a lot about diesels, but smoke is usually injectors.
You might find the VWAudiforum (co UK) useful, as it's a UK based forum with lots of blokes with diesel cars.
