2013-2014 Allroad oem wheel offset
Good day,
I have a quick question. Is anyone know the offset on OEM wheel? I'm planning to buy an Allroad in a week or two and would like to order the bespoke version of the Avant Garde M590.
Regards
Michel

Just for discussions sake, in the Winter I run Rial DH 18x8.5 with offset of 34mm. They were carryovers from my prior A5. No rubbing or any other issues, but then the allroad has the A5 undercarriage.

Slight correction ---- the allroad and A5 share suspension/axle bits from everything I've read and been told.

So how small can I go?
I think I'd like to go with 17 or even 16 inch wheels that are just 7 inches wide...then higher profile tires to maintain proper rolling radius.
Can the allroad handle 16 inch wheels? What offset would be ideal for 7 inch width?
I live in the West Michigan snow belt.. 100 to 150 inches of lovely snow each winter... So I want maximum snow and ice traction December thru March... I commute 150 miles round trip to work 3 days a week...

Suspension is often synonymous/included as part of the general term "undercarriage" (or chassis) but greater clarity is always a good thing. Germaine to this topic we know the allroad's wheel arches are a similar configuration to the A5's (hence the cladding) and therefore similar wheel offset accomodated.
Since the allroad is offered OEM with 19" and 18" rims, going to 17" to maximize Winter tire sidewall height would seem prudent but 16" would imo be unnecessary. We had record snowfall this past season and 18" with dedicated snow tires were fine for me, as they were on my A5. Pothole proliferation is of course another consideration.

Ok... So 17" it is...
But what width and offset? Stock 18 inch wheels are 8 inch width with et26 offset, correct?
I'd like to go 7 inch width...should I stick with et26? That would leave me about 1/2 inch narrower on each side...
Then I get dedicated snow tires at 225/55 R17...thinking about getting either BRIDGESTONE BLIZZAK WS80 or PIRELLI WINTER SOTTOZERO 3 tires.
Seems like this would give me the best snow setup.
Does that new offset look good? Other thoughts?
