Default 22 lbs. Boost, Oh My!

I got APR stage 1 93 Octane programmed to my allroad Friday, then immediately filled up with E85. Wow, this puts this car into a totally different category. With sway bars (at a future date) this car will be a totally stealth bomb. Anywhere above 2200 RPM's this 2.0 engine feels and sounds better than the S4 3.0t.

Thanks for posting.

Any chance you'll be able to post 'before and after' acceleration numbers?

I am looking to get my A4 chipped this week. Why would you configure the APR stage 1 on 93 Octane and then use E85?

Well, Audi E-85 engines have a sensor that reads the Octane of the fuel you are burning (also a 5th injector located in the METAL intake manifold; only E-85 compatible engines have this metal manifold/injector setup)... anyway, you need to know that E-85 is actually around 100 octane, so APR wrote the stage-1 93 octane program to take advantage of the 100 octane of Ethanol. All you need to do is go fill up with E-85 and pick up even MORE HP and Torque. And your Audi engine automatically senses the ethanol and ups your HP accordingly. It is unbelievably sweet. Go check out the graphs and acceleration logs on the APR web site. 313 hp and 380 ft lb. torque; 0-60 is around 4.6 sec (keep in mind that the 3.0t S4 is 4.9). I own a 2002 S8 and a 2005 2.7t APR CHIPPED allroad. The 2.0 APR chipped allroad beats both of those in acceleration and smoothness, hands down! BE CAREFUL!! THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN RUN E-85 IN YOUR CAR IS IF THE INSIDE OF YOUR FUEL LID SAYS E-85 AND IF YOU HAVE THE ALUMINUM METAL INTAKE MANIFOLD UNDER YOUR PLASTIC ENGINE COVER. ALL 2.0 aLLROADS HAVE THIS, NOT ALL A4'S ARE E-85 COMPATIBLE !!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. GO LOOK AT WHAT'S WRITTEN ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR GAS FLAP LID.
