Default Bike in the back?

Has anybody tried to fit a road bike in the back without removing the bike's front wheel? Obviously, with rear seats folded down. It looks like it should fit but maybe tight. And I thought it was a bit much to bring my bike on a test ride - so any experience appreciated - thanks

Yes, I have without having to pull the front wheel off. You may have to adjust the front passenger seat, depending on if you have a very large bike. G'luck with your purchase!

I don't have a picture handy, but here is one from the 2013 sales catalog.

I would strongly recc getting a roof or hitch rack. Not only do you avoid wrestling with your bike and scratching up your interior, but more you always risk knocking your bike out of tune or bending your hanger any time you bump your deraiileur, even slightly. There are so many good options out there now, and the aero bars are much quieter than old style set ups.

I have a 2014 allroad and often put my bike, with both wheels on, inside, with both seats down. I have on occasion taken off a wheel and sat 3 people inside. I have a roof rack for two bikes, and prefer the interior placement.

Default When I bring only one bike...

… I just take the front wheel off and the saddle. I can then fit my bike into my RS5 or S4. I can put the rack on, but I often combine a mountain bike ride with sport driving. Thus, no bike hanging on through the twisties and the bike is secure when I am away from the car…

Best

Eric
