I am now waiting for my allroad Prestige and trying to learn as much as I can about capabilities. I assume the blind spot sensor system displays a warning light on the outside rearview mirror just as on earlier models. Does it also display a warning in the virtual cockpit or the head up display? Thanks.

Not what you were probably thinking of when you mentioned blind-spot sensors, but your Prestige would also have cross-traffic assist which will display some arrows on the MMI screen (see link below) to indicate crossing traffic behind you. I also find the wide-angle view on the front and back cameras to be quite useful when pulling out of parking spots with limited visibility.

Only on the mirrors cover. No symbol in the VC.

And yes. The cross traffic info is very useful. And the rear view camera on the A4 is much better than the one in my A7. The wide angle camera is extremely useful. In fact, while backing out of a parking space, you don't need to use any of the mirrors. The camera alone is enough. Not so in the A6/7.
