i know i probably shouldn't have posted a new thread but i just spent the last 2 hours searching online for a ****ing piece of plastic to cover the little squirter that comes out and squirts my headlight when my lights are on if i decide to wash my windshield at night... seems like a ridiculously pointless luxury but that's besides the point.

somebody stole my cap/cover (passenger side) maybe a year ago and it's been driving me nuts, friends suggested to put black tape over it but that would just **** me off even more.

i do NOT care about the cost (i mean within reason) i just want a source of a headlight washer cover/cap for a BLACK 1996 audi a4.

it would mean THE WORLD to me if somebody could give me a source. all of the sites i found on google were all the same, you enter the year and model and make of your car and it gives you a HUGE list of parts for your car but they are probably the same list for any car you input, so i figured they were probably a waste and didn't have the part i needed anyway.


please help!!!

forgot to mention, ebay has a bunch of them however NONE of them are for my year and only one guy has even a4 headlight washer caps... the rest are a6's....

well i found a thread about where to find OEM parts... i found a decent site... i find the section with my year/model a4 for parts... i find the exact car i have, color/model everything and whatta ya know, its missing THE EXACT SAME PART AS MINE ::face in hands::

I would guess that all the B5 model years will fit as there probably weren't any changes to that part. Black should be an easy enough color to match -- you could probably even do it yourself with a spray can and a little TLC -- that about any cover you find will suffice.

Some arsehole stole my drive's side cap last week. The dealership ordered me a new one for $30.

do you think a a4 from 2002-2005 washer cap would fit my car? the ones for sale on ebay that are for the a4 are the next generation (b6?).

and you went to an audi dealer and they could order the part for you for $30? damn i'll just do that then.

Go to body shop that fixes lots of audi's. They may have one in your colour.Failing that try a scrap yard.Most scrap yards want to sell the whole bumper cover.

Lucky for you it comes primered in black, which should match very well. Unluckily, the Passenger side one costs more. Hope its right
