Hi All,

Sure I'm not the 1st with this problem but I cannot find a solution or get a proper diagnosis.

Central locking stopped working so I changed battery in they key then worked for a week then stopped, put new battery in again but dead however light still comes in on key fob when pressed. Did the same with spare key, changed battery then worked for a few days then stopped.

Took my car to a certain Audi dealer. Took both keys with. they say they put it on the Vas machine to try re-code both keys but wouldn't work and then said its the power control unit under my dash that must be replaced however I was watching them the whole time and never saw any computer plugged into my car to check so I took it to another place that ran the Vas machine on it and it picked up no errors.

Ive tried the recoding videos on youtube and still nothing.

Any ideas? could it possibly be a fuse and if so what fuse exactly do I check?

Any advice or suggestions other that what I have already tried would be appreciated.
