It dies when I come to a stop or am in neutral at a low speed. Seems like only in the cold. Also the abs light is on as well as the ebrake light and it beeps at me whenever it feels like it also seems like it does it in the cold more. Another thing is after I bought the car the first gear started whining while accelerating. Hasn't got worse and doesn't really affect it. Just don't like the noise and am curious what it may be. Throws plenty of codes but those are the things bothering me. Any help is appreciated as I'm new to audis and this website

If you are not lucky enough to have someone answer your questions you may want to try searching for answers one at a time. the search function here is great. all your issues have been answered or addressed at one time or another.

You need to pull and post the codes you have. As far as your whining noise, could be engine but more likely bearings or dragging a brake. When stopped bring the engine over 1200 RPM and see if your noise comes in.
