99 a4 "Slipping", "Jerking", possible misfire, need help
I have 1999 Audi A4 1.8t B5 and I bought the car knowing it had some problems but ones that seemed pretty easy at the time, it has 213000 miles on it and the clutch was very high, driving it I noticed that it seemed like the clutch was slipping when I give the car some gas in attempt to accelerate, its a manual and whatever gear im in once I go past maybe 1/4 or 1/3 pedal the car jumps or skips or slips, however I can describe it, it loses torque and makes a weirdish sound but not to bad on the noise, more the feeling, sort of like it goes into neutral but its fast and it grabs again then starts driving unless I punch it then it will stay in the no torque way, I havent blatently held it because I dont want to do damage but im sure I could hold it forever if driven to. ive looked it up a little and some people say it can be a no code misfire, I had the codes read and there is no misfire or check engine on and it does backfire when I push in the clutch occasionally. I replaved the clutch the other night which did not slove the issue but the previous clutch was extremely glazed which could be from this or from a bad drivier that owned the car last. please help and ask any questions ill gladly answer them. thank you
Also just so you know this only happens after the car has warmed up and on a cold start it is non existing until the car warms up also it seems to only happen between maybe 1800 and 35000 rpms so if I really punch it in a lower gear like 2nd or 3rd it goes away when the rpms get up there.
