Default A4 no heat

2000 a4 1.8t no heat in car,temp gauge reading normal. i just backflushed the heater core and it is flowing clean.is there a heater bypass valve and where is it located? have half the dash tore apart already,help!!!

There is no valve for coolant in the B5. Are both hoses to/from the core hot? If not, you have either air, or a blockage. IF YES, you probably have a flap door in the HVAC box that isn't moving.. As you go from cold to warm you will hear the actual flaps moving.. if you don't hear anything, that's probably your problem.
