Alarm Wiring Diagram
Ok, for Months I've searched around for a 'good' copy of the wiring color codes and locations for my 99 A4. Alas.. no luck. I managed last weekend to install a remote start with an aftermarket alarm system Intergrated into the factory system. Here's the wiring diagram/color codes I used. Remember, PLEASE check your wires with a multimeter.

NOTE: This vehicle has an immobilizer system that needs to
be bypassed when adding remote start.
*1 Factory alarm is on the bottom passenger side of the trunk.
*2 Tach is also found at the ECM on the driver side firewall.
*3 VSS is also found at the cruise control module behind the glove box.
*4 Brown/yellow in the drivers kick panel gets the drivers door,
brown/white in the passenger kick panel gets all the other doors.
Use both wires and must diode isolate from each other.
*5 Unlock requires double pulse. See NEGATIVE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM
