Another engine "whine" question. Help!
I have a 2001 A4 B5 2.8L Quattro. The noise is consistent with the RPMs and continues through all gears and neutral. There is also a distinctive smell after revving the car (kind of a burning plastic/rubber(It's difficult for me to distinguish scents)). The noise almost sounds like it is coming from the transmission, but I can't really tell. I changed both the belts, tensioners, water pump, etc. roughly 20,000 miles back, and everything has worked well since. I ran the codes, but nothing came up. Here is a link to the video I posted on youtube. Any info is appreciated! Thanks guys!

I am getting the same noise.
Mine sounds like it coming from transmission, torque converter area.
If you had the repair done what was it ?
