Default Should I order the Sports Package for my 2001.5?

There's a lot of talk in here concerning the 2001.5 sports package. Originally I told the dealer I wasn't interested. Well I'm going to order the 1.8tq tomorrow, 5 speed. Plan on chipping it with GIAC. Now I'm getting second thoughts, considering getting the sport package. At first I thought it would be too bumpy and noisey, but I love taking turns real tight, love to feel the road, but I hate feeling every bump. Any suggestions? The sports package has gone up in price so it's not like it's $700 anymore, wondering if I'd be cheating myself out of a good option or just wasting my money.

I order my car tomorrow around 9 AM EST, so any opinions would help. I dont have much time to decide...I'll be placing my down payment on the car tomorrow!! Man I'm psyched!!!

Thanks in advance!

Default Hell yes you should get the sports package...

If you dont get the sports package, your car is going to sit high as hell off the fenders and look really stupid. You will have a ton of body roll also, which really sucks during high speed cornering. I don't know exactly what the 2001 package includes, but I am sure it has wider tires, stiffer sway bars, etc. I had the sports package on my 99 A4 before I modified the suspension to coilovers and 18's, and the ride is not really sacrificed at all. You wont feel that much more when it comes to bumps with the sports package unless you are some sissy who is used to driving an SUV all day in Beverly Hills. The sports package is not even that sporty, but it is definately better than not having it. The only way you are going to have a noticably harsh ride is if you put 17 inch rims or bigger /w low profile tires on your car AND aftermarket lowering springs.

Default 2001.5 Sports package comes with 17" wheels, thicker anti-sway bars, tighter/lower/firmer suspension

GO FOR IT!!

Everyone says it's a great value.
