Default Back Seat ash tray?

My 2000 a4 has a back seat ash tray below the front seat arm rest. On the cover of this ash tray is an image (looks like a motor with a propeller?) I opened mine up and a piece of loose plastic(like a plug cover) fell out., There appears to be a set up for some sort of plug? Anybody know what this is for? Thanks again

Default That used to the location where techs plug in the diagnostic cable.

Now it's under the dash.

That piece of plastic is also good for giving a hard time to your friends who sit in the back seat and like to play and touch everything in the car.

Friend: "Oh oh, something just came loose."
Me: "Damn you! You broke my brand new car!!"
