Broken Tape Deck Door

Broken Tape Deck Door
Good morning all!
After searching Google and forums to no avail I was hoping to get help from this awesome community. Last night I was trying to remove a stuck tape adapter so I could replace it with a better Monster one when the door to the tape deck snapped off. It doesn't look broken, the spring on the bottom is still there but I have no idea how to get it back on... if any one here has a suggestion I would really appreciate it. I would rather not have to buy a new stereo but the missing door is bound to drive me crazy, as it has slightly already. Thank you for taking the time to check out my thread, and thank you in advance for any suggestions you may provide.

I'm sorry you lost the tape deck door but it will be quite difficult to find a replacement part for the stock headunit. At this point, you have 2 options to solve this problem:
1. Upgrade your stock stereo to an aftermarket single/double din headunit.
2. Buy a used/refrub Symphony stereo from an auto salvage yard or Ebay and replace the damaged unit. You should be able to working stereo for $70 or less.
Just did a quick search on Ebay and I found a replacement unit for $45 - 99 00 01 02 Audi A4 S4 in Dash CD A M F M Cassette Symphony Player 8D0 035 195 A | eBay.
You might consider buying a broken headunit to get a replacement Tape deck door, but it all depends on your budget.
Hope this helps!
