A/C clattering

A/C clattering
When I switch my A/C on, I hear a clattering from under the hood. What part of the A/C is making this noise? And what, dare I ask, is the estimated replacement cost?

for that, i don't need air conditioning...
I'd rather cruise with my windows down and sunroof open.
Crap. I just noticed my front right control arms squeaking too. This moves my repair/maitenence costs to close to $5000 in the 6 months I've had this car. I should have just bought a newer S4. At this rate, I'd be paying less.
