Coolant leak 1998 A4 2.8l
I have noticed a coolant leak that is coming from the hose connected to the radiator (the big visible one that has a smaller hose connected to it that goes back to the reservoir) I took it off, and inspected the connection the hose and the ring, and everything looked good. Is there any reason why?
Thank you

This happened to me once. Maybe you have the same deal...
You are talking about the lower radiator hose. Those hoses have a snap-fit fastener.
That is, you have to push them on with the fastener pulled back, and then once it's
pushed on as far as it goes (there's a groove on the fastener - you have to align the
groove with the ridge on the radiator spout), press the fastener on to lock it in.
Problem I had was that I was not pressing the hose on far enough. The fastener
would still clip into place, I could even pull on it and it would not come off. But
as pressure built while driving - it would start to leak.
So, remove the hose and (here's my trick) spray a little WD40 on to the spout,
then the fastener will slip easily all the into place. And then clip the fastener.
Good luck.
