Deep in the weeds: low windshield washer fluid warning won't go off!
OK, here's one for the really knowledgeable and otherwise geeky:
'99 2.8 automatic, 123,000 miles, well maintained. Lately, the SUPER-ANNOYING animated icon showing that my windshield washer fluid is low has come on and stays on (despite the washer fluid tank being full).
I have the Bentley manual. It has a picture of the washer fluid tank, but no information on how to remove it (or anything else).
So I need to know:
* Where is the fluid level sensor? Can it be replaced? How do you get at it?
* How do I take out the tank? From the top or the bottom or the wheel well?
* Can I just disable the damn warning symbol by splicing some wires?
* Would I be better off just putting a piece of black electrical tape over the dashboard warning panel and going to get a cold beer?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff in Boston

Wheel well access is the easiest and maybe the only. Once you get that liner off you will see the tank and the pumps etc. Easy. I guess you can jumper the sensor but why not just fix it?
