EGR delete from ECM
Hello and good day everyone.
I have a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro, 2.8 V6.
I'm looking to get the EGR deleted from the engines computer or ECM. I know for a fact they do this on big rigs with Caterpillar, Cummins, and Detroit engines. Has anyone heard of this being done? Or know where to get it done. It would save alot of problems to just have the EGR closed and the computer forget about it. Thanks and have a great day.

Its not possible with the Hitachi ECU on the US A4.
There is a way to make the EGR only operate when in test mode, doesn't open during normal driving.
However any EGR faults needs to corrected so the valve and EGR passage into the manifold needs to be clean.
The valve will open for a few seconds of every drive cycle instead of all the time .
