fuel pressure bleed down
I have a 1996 audi a4 quattro 2.8. I am having problems with the fuel pressure bleeding down I thank. When I go to crank it I have to turn the key on and off couple time and let it prime itself then it will fire right up. Not sur what problem is any is appreciated thanks

The non return valve is located on the pump, so now that you've replaced that with a new one, the valve is most likely fine.
Short of any fuel leaks (which you'd smell) the two most likely culprits are the injectors and the fuel pressure regulator.
The regulator is least likely, but is cheap!
Injectors - you can try injectoor cleaner, but it probably won't work... best options are:
- an on-vehicle clean using a special cleaning solution in place of fuel
- removal of injectors and professionally cleaning them
- replace injectors with new ones.
