I think the most HP is 18 from TAP, but i dont think....

A chip may give you about 10hp....
BUT you need to spread that over the weight of the car. So, instead of (using a general number here) 3400lbs/190 = 18lbs per hp, you may get 3400/200 = 17lbs per hp.
Doubt you'll notice. Besides, you "feel" torque, not really the hp. Simplistic, but hp gives you speed, torque gets you to that speed faster.

Youll probably......
notice somewhat of a difference, I mean if it actually gives you 18 horses that would be an almost 10% increase, you're gonna notice that! It costs $495 but when you consider most cars that is a pretty significant increase, for the price. Us 1.8T guys are just spoiled because we can get 45 HP and 95 lb/ft for that much. In terms of what you would physically get out of it, probably more noticeable/quicker throttle response, a little bit longer gears (prob raises the rev limit) and maybe a little bit more seat of the pants feel. Also about the same feel you would get out of a cone intake and a catback exhaust. Its really up to you if you can spend the money. Personally, if i had a 2.8 id get big brakes, coilovers, and rims and tires, and RIP around the track.

While I'm on a roll, this is how to look at the 1.8 chipped...
3400/150hp = 23 lbs/hp
Now chip it...
3400/207hp = 16.5 lbs/hp.
That's why you feel it, besides the torque gain.
Not just for fun :b
Stage 3:
3400/280hp = 12lbs/hp
and...
Stage3+
3400/325hp = 10.5lbs/hp
Eye opener.
