Default you may need a new radio

1.leave your key in your ignition, turned as far as it can go before starting your engine. turn your radio on.

2.make sure you're not parked in Compton, or Newark, NJ.

3. after an hour, it should reset. if not, you may need a new radio. same thing happened to me, and the dealer said that it's a common problem for older radios to get stuck in safe mode. luckily, mine reset itself.

Default Re: i drained mine flat once....

What are other potential causes of my slow engine starts?

It is only an occaisional driver. Should I just drive it more frequently? Does it need a tune-up? New spark plugs? New starter? (I am totally car mechanics illiterate)

How much does a new Audi Concert stereo cost? Where I can purchase it?

If stereo is on with SAFE displayed while driving, should it reset or do I specifically need to put the ignition in the car but not start it and just wait?

Default leaving you car sitting is the problem....

i drive 400 mi. a week on an average! most of it in drives over an hour. you probibly need a new battery! get a trickle charger if you leave the car sitting for long spells. hot weather also could shorten the life of your battery.

Default i'm not sure how much they cost

but i'm guessing you could probably upgrade to a nicer stereo from a place like Crutchfield for the same price or even less.

if you are going to be on the road for 45-60 minutes, then it should work. i just left it in front of my house with the key turned, and that worked for me.

If I start driving the car a lot more, should this correct the problem or do you think the idle time has done irreversible damage to the battery (I live in South Florida). How much should a trickle charger cost vs a new battery?

Also, the slow starting is only a recent problem. Stereo "SAFE" mode and battery drain occured a couple months ago.

Back of Audi Concert doesn't have standard RCA connectors. Should any aftermarket stereo unit have same connectors?

Also, would I lose any special functionality built into the Concert head unit?

Default happened to me last week.

I needed a new battery. Had to pull my stereo out to get the serial number of the back so I could my radio code. Once you replace the battery and punch in the code it should be fine. Your one touch windows probably aren't working proper either.
