Default

If you want a BOV sound just get a metal body BPV and a Cone intake system

Default or just get a hks ssv bov and call it a day.

contrary to popular believe, they run the car
fine on a 1.8t

unless the tt 225's 1.8t is all that different...
i dunno

however, adjusted properly, it should work

ps: the 225 1.8t in question was running it
with the stock ecu, and a giac X chip, both ran
the car fine... datalogged A/F and all that stupid
****. it went psssssssst. it was phat.

that is all.

Default there a many 1.8t's running BOV's without any issues...

i'm not one however, so I cannot testify to their performance, personally. but i've seen at least a dozen B5's (a4 and passat) running them, and COUNTLESS vw's as well. so many of the AW's have heard the argument against BOV's for so long, they are brainwashed into thinking it doesn't work, without ever trying it. For myself, I'd personally like to try it first, then say whether it works or doesn't work. again, some have had success, just do some searching (demolition_x, not waseem).

Default I imagine that the negative effects take place slowly over time.

so it's completely plausible that after a bov install everything is 'fine' for a while...

Default running a little rich is not a bad thing.

running lean is a bad thing.

over time, the 02 sensor may go a little earlier
than normal (not expensive)

and your cats might get a bit clogged
(like you even give a ****)

=)
blow off all you want
