Ignition Module or (POS) Question?
I have been reading about the usual blinking check engine light and stuter under accel. I understand the usual three things it might be (Spark Plug , Coil Pack , POS) i read in the B5FAQ that the POS problem is on pre-99.5 only is this true?

You don't have a power output stage to replace
Play musical coilpacks and see if the misfire moves cylinders. You can check which cylinders are misfiring with a VAG-Com by going to measuring value blocks 014, 015 and 016. 014 is total engine misfires, 015 is for cylinders 1-3 and 016 is for cylinder 4.

I also had to replace mine...
I was getting random misfires at cylinder 2. Do you have a vag-com to check your codes? Check spark plugs, then plays musical coil packs. Search, this is a very common problem.
