My Pelican baby arrived!
Hi all,
Just received my Pelican Blue '00 Avant 2.8 QMS with sport seats, conv package, and Xenon. Sport wagons rule! :-)
After waiting since I placed my order last August, it sure is nice to be driving it finally! I was worried that I had my expectations set too high and that I would be disappointed when I got it but no, this is one fantastic car. It handles beautifully, I love the color (except that I would prefer the black trim of the 1.8T), the interior design is almost perfect, etc... The only thing that has been slightly annoying so far is the wind noise on the highway but I think I only notice it because the car is so quiet. (Surprisingly, the 10-spoke wheels aren't as bad as I was expecting, and I actually like the new dash design).
Now I need to start reading a lot more archive posts about advice on how to break the car in the best I can, installing aftermarket speakers and a hands-free cellphone setup, etc... Should be fun. :-)
(As an aside, I wonder how many Pelican Blue A4s there are in the Bay Area? I've seen two while driving around over the last several months but there still aren't many of them around).
Anyway, thanks everyone for all the advice found on this site. I now have a great car that fits my own preferences better as a result!

Yay!! Another Pelican Blue !!
Okay, I'm not in the Bay Area.
Unless you were referring to Lower New York Bay!
:-)
Somehow I doubt that.
Even though we're several thousand miles apart, it's still nice to know that someone else has a Pelican Blue car.
Congrats, and good luck !
